Fraud Alert
Authenus Staffing LLC (Authenus) | Last updated: October 26, 2026
Our commitment
Authenus is committed to protecting candidates, employees, clients, and business partners from recruitment fraud, identity theft, and unauthorized use of our company name or brand. Bad actors occasionally imitate legitimate staffing agencies through fabricated job listings, spoofed websites, unauthorized emails, text messages, instant-messaging apps, or fake social media profiles.
Common warning signs
- Requests to pay application fees, training fees, background-check fees, or placement deposits to apply for a job or secure employment.
- Demands for payment via gift cards, cryptocurrency, peer-to-peer payment apps, or wire transfers.
- Requests for online banking passwords, credit card numbers, or one-time multi-factor security codes.
- Instructions to purchase home-office equipment using a personal check or advance remittance from an unknown sender.
- High-pressure communications that urge immediate action or offer instant employment without a formal interview and verification process.
Our recruitment practices
Authenus never charges candidates to apply for employment or to be considered for staffing assignments. Our recruiting process includes structured telephone or video interviews with verified Authenus recruiters, in-person or client interviews, authorized background screening, and secure electronic onboarding. While legitimate post-offer onboarding requires tax and work-authorization documentation, those records are collected only through verified, encrypted onboarding systems - never via unsecured chat apps. Authenus never requests online banking passwords or account verification codes.
Verify communications
Always visit authenus.com directly and use our official published channels (info@authenus.com or 1-800-414-0472) to independently verify a recruiter's identity or a job opening listed on authenus.com/job-openings. Do not rely solely on a phone number, email address, logo, or link supplied inside an unsolicited message.
Report suspected impersonation
If you receive a suspicious communication claiming to represent Authenus, please report it immediately through our official Contact Us page or by emailing info@authenus.com. Include the sender's name, email address or phone number, any URLs, and relevant screenshots, but do not include Social Security numbers, bank account details, or passwords in your report. You may also report suspected recruitment fraud to the Federal Trade Commission (reportfraud.ftc.gov), the FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center (ic3.gov), or your state attorney general.
Brand protection and disclaimer
Authenus Staffing LLC actively monitors and reports unauthorized misuse of the Authenus name, trademarks, and domain. Authenus is not responsible for fraudulent job offers, unauthorized communications, or financial losses resulting from third parties impersonating Authenus or its personnel outside of our verified authenus.com channels.
