Authenus Staffing is currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our client’s team as a Purchasing Assistant. Responsibilities:

  1. Purchasing Procedures:
    • Execute and assist in the implementation of purchasing processes and procedures.
    • Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement.
  2. Documentation and Record Keeping:
    • Maintain accurate and organized records of purchase orders, invoices, and other relevant documentation.
    • Ensure compliance with departmental guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  3. Vendor Communication:
    • Communicate with vendors to obtain quotes, negotiate terms, and resolve issues.
    • Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers.
  4. Order Processing:
    • Generate and process purchase orders accurately and efficiently.
    • Monitor and track order deliveries to ensure on-time receipt.
  5. Quality Control:
    • Assist in evaluating product quality and vendor performance.
    • Address and resolve discrepancies or issues with received goods.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • High school graduate or GED.
    • An associate degree or higher is preferred.
  • Experience:
    • One (1) year of experience in purchasing procedures.
  • Knowledge:
    • Understanding of generally accepted purchasing principles.
    • Familiarity with established procedures, departmental guidelines, and regulatory requirements applicable to the work.
  • Skills:
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
