Responsibilities:
- Purchasing Procedures:
- Execute and assist in the implementation of purchasing processes and procedures.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement.
- Documentation and Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate and organized records of purchase orders, invoices, and other relevant documentation.
- Ensure compliance with departmental guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Vendor Communication:
- Communicate with vendors to obtain quotes, negotiate terms, and resolve issues.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers.
- Order Processing:
- Generate and process purchase orders accurately and efficiently.
- Monitor and track order deliveries to ensure on-time receipt.
- Quality Control:
- Assist in evaluating product quality and vendor performance.
- Address and resolve discrepancies or issues with received goods.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- High school graduate or GED.
- An associate degree or higher is preferred.
- Experience:
- One (1) year of experience in purchasing procedures.
- Knowledge:
- Understanding of generally accepted purchasing principles.
- Familiarity with established procedures, departmental guidelines, and regulatory requirements applicable to the work.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
